Microsoft Academy of Information Technologies

The programme of the Microsoft Academy of Information Technologies targets lecturers, students and the whole academic community. Its objective is to provide all-round education of the application of new information technologies both in everyday life and in business realms.

• Offer quality study programmes for application of Microsoft technologies
• Provide a wide array of online resources, which can be accessed at any time and place
• Provide learners with knowledge and skills, which can ensure successful realization
• Foster the development of the labor market and supply qualified specialists
• Present a model for continuous education and constant knowledge update

Membership

The programme is designed exclusively for accredited educational institutions – universities, colleges, professional and language schools, organizations for further qualification.  

There are two types of membership:

• Microsoft Office Specialist – trainees gain considerable knowledge of the application of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Operating Systems.
• Microsoft IT Pro Platinum – trainees gain substantial operating skills with Microsoft and Microsoft – based solutions, which are designed for developers and system engineers.

Online resource center

The trainees get immediate access to a specialized website, which contains professional educational programmes for the application of Microsoft solutions.

The digital working materials are designed in such a way that they emphasize on theoretical and practical skills, real life case studies, and development of own projects. This they ensure and facilitate self-education, self-practice and self-development.

• Learning management system

This solution targets the administrators of the learning process and the trainees. It allows them to manage the access to the online resource center of the trainees via password restrictions both to single lessons and whole courses; to obtain information on the educational stages – when the courses are accessed, the amount of time spent, the results from term tests and so on. The online resource center and the Educational Process management system do have localized versions in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese.

• Laboratory licenses:

Depending on the membership type, the educational institutions receive free licensed Microsoft software, which will be used during the courses. These licensed products can only be installed on those computers that are used for educational purposes.  

• Academic fees and certificates

Depending on the type of exam the trainee may receive up to 50% reduction of a single exam fee. The exams are offered at specialized certificate centers across the country.

• Marketing materials

Every educational institution, member of the Programme, receives advertising materials (logos, brochures, etc.) free of charge and subscription for the digital bulletin.
